Craniosacral Therapy for Preconception & Prenatal Care

Craniosacral Therapy offers gentle, regulation-focused support for women who are preparing for pregnancy and those who are currently pregnant. These sessions are designed to calm the nervous system, reduce strain patterns, and support whole-body balance during a time of profound change.

Whether you are preparing your body for conception or navigating the physical and emotional demands of pregnancy, treatment is individualized and guided by your body’s priorities.

What to Expect in a Session

Clients remain fully clothed and rest comfortably on a treatment table, with positioning adapted for pregnancy and comfort at every stage. Sessions begin with a verbal intake and conversation about your goals and current experience. From there, the treatment is guided both by what you share and by what your body communicates through its subtle rhythms.

Using very light touch, I monitor the craniosacral system to identify areas of restriction or imbalance. Gentle, precise techniques are used to support release and reorganization around the head, spine, pelvis, and connective tissues.

Sometimes I may spend several minutes with one area of the body as it “unwinds” and settles. Each session follows a unique order based on your system’s needs rather than a fixed routine.

This work is deeply restorative and meditative. Many clients enter a deeply relaxed, theta-like state and leave feeling grounded, spacious, and calm.

Preconception Support

In the preconception phase, craniosacral therapy focuses on optimizing nervous system regulation and reducing stored stress patterns that can interfere with hormonal balance and pelvic function.

Sessions may help support:

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Stress reduction

  • Pelvic and whole-body balance

  • Recovery from prior injuries or procedures

  • Emotional settling and resilience

  • Preparation for pregnancy and birth

Creating a more regulated internal environment can support the body’s natural readiness for conception.

Prenatal Support

During pregnancy, the body undergoes rapid structural, hormonal, and neurological changes. Craniosacral sessions are adapted for each trimester and aim to support comfort, adaptability, and regulation for both mother and baby.

Prenatal sessions may help with:

  • Neck and back discomfort

  • Pelvic and sacral strain

  • Stress and tension patterns

  • Fatigue and overwhelm

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Jaw tension (TMJ patterns)

  • Emotional stress or anxiety

  • Nervous system overload

Many pregnant clients report improved sleep, easier breathing, and a greater sense of connection and calm after sessions.

Support During a Transformational Season

Preconception and pregnancy are not only physical experiences — they are neurological and emotional transitions as well. Gentle craniosacral care provides space for your system to settle, adapt, and function with greater ease during this important time.
